Dirce Lane is a Brazilian/ American holding a Dental Hygiene Degree from Miami Dade College- Florida, U.S.A. She has received multiple awards for Academic Excellence during her schooling years and has also been on the Dean’s Award List numerous times. She is a member of both, the American Dental Hygiene Association and the UAE Dental Hygiene Association. Dirce is certified to use Nitrous Oxide, Local Anesthesia, Digital Radiography and Laser Whitening Systems. Between working in the USA and the U.A.E she has 20+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Dirce loves a beautiful healthy smile, and what attracted her the most to get into the Dental Hygiene program is her own history of some broken teeth that were not treated correctly and eventually required implants. The need initially started with wanting to fix her own teeth and soon developed into making this a life choice and wanting to help others and prevent them from having similar problems with their teeth.
Dirce’s passion and commitment to preventive oral hygiene is designed to improve each patient’s oral health which also reflects on their overall health. She specializes in Gum Disease Prevention, Scaling and Root Planing. She is an ardent advocate of Fluoride Application for adults and children and Pit and Fissure Sealants for children. She’s an educator and will make sure her patients are involved throughout their entire hygiene session by taking multiple photos before and after their cleaning and x-rays to explain their current oral hygiene status and what their goals should be. Patients leave Dirce’s chair with sparkly clean whites and are always keen on booking their 6 months recall cleaning.
In her spare time, Dirce and her husband Rob (an amazing photographer) are travel junkies and have visited the 7 continents and tapped on 70 countries and aiming to reach 100 soon. Besides traveling, Dirce loves keeping active and is always scouting new gyms to try out.
